A date with Mr Wolf.

Who will penetrate the tightening muscle? Who will cut across the thickening skin? Who will be the one to reach their hand in and pull out the golden heart?
Who will?
From all the ashes of all the crashes
Who will be the one? Be the one
Who will lay me down in green pastures? Or lead me from the burning sands? Who will be the one to lay their cards down And always hope the winning hand?
Who will be the one?
From all the ashes of all the crashes
Who will be the one? Be the one
Who will be the one?

The performance given by Patrick Wolf last night was, and I can honestly say, truely amazing. The previous time I'd seen him live was at Leeds Festival a few year's back, squashed in the centre of an overpacked tent, so last nights small venue, at The Cockpit, made the show a little more intimate and appreciative.
Mr Wolf certainly wasn't as 'quiet and reformed' as I had previously remembered, and he seemed to enjoy the energetic crowd!
The beautiful piano solos were accompanied by his touring violinist and deep vocals, not too mention the emotion provoking lyrics.

Listen to some of his tracks here.
